We loved growing things to eat so we decided to make our own vegetable garden.  This is the area we chose at the top of the field - it's sheltered and sunny.

From some donated scaffolding planks we made three raised beds, one for each year group.  Vegetables like growing in raised beds and the children are able to come gardening without walking on the soil.

We filled the beds with soil and then dug in some well rotted manure to help our vegetables to grow.

All these things will rot down and then we will be able dig them in too
